Morson are excited to be working with our aerospace client Thales, who are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer to work at their site in Crawley.

The successful candiate must have extensive, recent Suuplier Quality experience in a high tech environment.
Key Tasks
• Delivering the Supplier Quality Assurance activities to ensure the solution is in line with Customer expectations, contractual requirements, quality standards and with risk mitigating objectives.
• To assure that for the specific scope of supply (bid, project, product policy), the suppliers are selected from the Thales approved supplier list. Where there is no approved list for this scope of supply, the objective of Supplier Quality Assurance is to assure that the suppliers are selected using the relevant process and appropriate criteria (PVet).
• Proactively engage supply chain through early contract review (SPRR) and APQP.
• To ensure the correct flow down of the requirement to suppliers (both Customer and Thales requirements).
• To implement a supplier monitoring action plan, in particular to ensure that the structural risks detected are taken into account.
• Work with the Procurement Family Leads, Manufacturing Buyers and Supplier Development Engineer(s) to ensure that the prescribed external supply chain is appropriate and executing their duties without risk to our programmes.
• To plan and support off-site Supplier FAI activities
• Interface with other Quality functions to ensure the implementation of best practice, thus meeting the requirements of the company.
• Ensuring the application of the Group Quality, Customer Satisfaction, Quality Assurance policies.
• Ensure the effectiveness of “alerting and vetoing” process.
• Ensure compliance to company processes and procedures through regular audit and assessment. Including maintenance and development of international standards to meet compliance and regulatory requirements.
• To assure that lessons learnt activities and performance evaluations are performed.
• Identify, develop and implement Continuous and business improvements opportunities that contribute to the Operations objectives.
Essential Experience
• Proven track record in Supplier Quality in high tech environment.
• At least 3 years in a related Quality and or Project/Operations environment with a reputation in change management.
• Knowledge of Industry Quality and Engineering Standards and Processes and be familiar with MoD contractual requirements for Quality assurance.
• Business delivery experience, especially in complex programme management.
Qualifications
• Quality and or Procurement or related qualification.
• Proven capability in auditing and process development
• Related Professional Qualification and Membership of Associations.

Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance.
