As a Quality Assurance Officer, your main responsibilities will be:

Candidates will join the Quality Assurance team within the Operational Excellence department based in Derby. We support the Technical Department in coaching and auditing their practices to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements. The Quality Assurance Officer will gain experience in applying their skills and knowledge to a dynamic company providing services in different key sectors. With your portfolio of projects, you will contribute to:

Reaching the expected Quality Maturity level by:

  • Supporting projects in determining customer requirements regarding quality and project management.
  • Controlling Quality Assurance plans and communication with respective project teams and customers.
  • Carrying out quality reviews for selected projects, as defined in the Quality Assurance strategy (e.g. attending customer meetings).
  • Controlling and reporting Quality indicators such as Right First Time, On Time Delivery, and Customer Satisfaction.
  • Carrying out internal audits (including end to end delivery sampling) and following up on corrective actions.
  • Supporting external audits (Customer/Certification).
  • Performing Root cause analysis and following up on corrective actions in case of non-conformities or customer complaints.
  • Reporting and raising alerts, at the appropriate level, in case of deviations from the ALTEN Delivery Framework and other ALTEN processes, ensuring a continual Improvement approach.

Who are we looking for?

  • The ideal candidate will possess a proactive/resilient mindset.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Quality, either as a Quality Assurance Engineer or Junior Quality Assurance Officer.
  • Strong communication & presentation skills.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100.
  • A desire to grow within the role as well as the company.

This role will require you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance. As part of the onboarding process, candidates will be asked to complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard; details of the evidence required to apply may be found on the government website Gov.UK. If you are unable to meet this and any associated criteria, then your employment may be delayed or rejected. Details of this will be discussed with you at the interview.
