My client, a luxury womenswear brand, are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Controller to join their team. The Quality Controller will play a crucial role in ensuring that all products meet their rigorous quality standards before they reach the market. This position is integral to maintaining the brand reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, components, and finished garments to ensure compliance with quality specifications and standards.
  • Identify and report any defects, discrepancies, or deviations from quality standards to relevant stakeholders, including suppliers and production teams.
  • Collaborate closely with design, production, and sourcing teams to address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and product evaluations to track quality performance and trends.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive quality control procedures, protocols, and documentation to continuously improve quality processes.
  • Participate in sample reviews, fit sessions, and pre-production meetings.
  • Conduct periodic audits of manufacturing facilities and suppliers to assess compliance with quality requirements and ethical standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control procedures, techniques, and best practices to foster a culture of quality excellence.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in quality control or quality assurance roles within the fashion industry, preferably in apparel manufacturing.
  • Experienced in both Fully Factored & CMT environments across various categories including Swimwear, Ready to Wear, and Accessories.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and PLM programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric properties, and production processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle defects or discrepancies in materials and finished products.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to liaise with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyse data, interpret test results, and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems, inspection techniques, and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using quality control tools and software applications.
  • Certification in quality control or quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) is a plus.
  • Must be analytical and logical with an understanding of the global supply chain.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work as a team, transcending different cultures, geographies, and time zones.
  • Ability to develop efficient processes, review, and refine, always striving for continuous improvement.
