Quality Engineer – 3 Months+ – Scotland

Amoria Bond is looking for a Quality Engineer initially on a 3-month contract based on site just outside of Glasgow.

Our client are a large plastic injection moulding supplier (primarily automotive) working with JLR on cosmetic plastics.

Skills:

  • Plant based quality engineer who is a specialist in problem solving
  • 8D / APQP / PPAP familiarisation
  • Root cause analysis
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Tier 1 or 2 experience
  • JLR programme experience
  • Customer facing
  • Cosmetic plastics experience - exterior plastic moulding

We are primarily looking for an experienced Quality Engineer with plastics experience. You will be reporting to the Quality Manager and primarily coming in to keep the work on track. We need someone who is resilient, assertive, open in their approach, particularly with customer negotiation.

The successful Quality Engineer should demonstrate examples of confirming specifications for performance, quality, durability and fault finding of automotive components. Additionally, they must have a proven track record of project control.

The contract is initially 3 months but is highly likely to be extended depending upon performance and workload. We are looking for someone to start ASAP.

The agreed rate per hour is negotiable and dependant on level of experience and will be agreed as -all inclusive. A 4 day week is available if preferable and this is on an hours worked/hours paid basis.
