You will have the unique opportunity to be in from the start so you can use your experience to set things up right from the very beginning.As an Quality Engineer in the Engineering Quality and Methodology team, within Offshore Wind, you will work with senior and lead engineers to solve technical challenges faced throughout the windfarm lifecycle.Your focus will be on the development, implementation and maintenance of processes (including the stage gate model), verification activities, quality non-conformity activities, audits and cost of quality reduction.You will be responsible of the identification of risks of the respective engineering discipline, proposing alternative technical options or mitigation measures.You shall support the OFW technical scopes, optimising LCoE, reducing risks, providing a safety design and fulfilling the quality requirements, standards and certification needs. Job AdvertQuality Engineer (Offshore Wind)This role is advertised in our UK office locations however we are open to considering candidates from Copenhagen, Hamburg & Madrid.What you will deliver: Support the wider engineering team through the gate process.Prepare and deliver the documents as directed by senior engineers.Develop quality dashboards, metrics and important metrics.Collect, evaluate and report quality performance against meaningful metrics and objectives.Developed engineering processes and implement them across the division.Train and mentor, the OFW engineering team in the bp engineering methodology.Provide challenge to the engineering function to do things right the first time.Seek opportunities for improvement and lead strategic initiatives e.g. process improvements, forums, lessons learned.Support the Senior Manager in Engineering Quality and Methodology to coordination across all quality activities including ISO9001.What You will need to be successful (Experience and Qualifications):Engineering degree or equivalent experience and qualifications. Desirable to be a CEng or CQI.Experience working in technical engineering roles with some time in quality or methodology in Offshore wind or a comparable industry.Good understanding of quality and methodology requirements e.g. standards, FEMA, lean, six sigma, PDCA, control procedures, verification processes, risk management, interfaces and constrains.Track record in making technical decisions, planning, and coordinating the tasks to develop an assigned scope.Good analytical skills.High level of attention to detail.Good interpersonal skills to handle and engage stakeholders.
