We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Quality Control Engineerwith previous experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in automotive assembly line), good leadership / supervisory skills, who is internal auditor trained and able to conduct investigations.
As the Quality Control Engineeryour primary responsibilities will be to perform quality checks on manufactured vehicles to ensure the finished products meets the companys high standards.
Working as the Quality Control Engineer you will provide support to the Quality department in all aspects related to quality including participating in investigations, conducting data analysis and internal audits and working according to ISO 9001 requirements.

DUTIES
Your duties as a Quality Control Engineerwill include:
Participate in problem-solving efforts (Root-Cause Analysis), investigations and help provide preventive solutions to complaints and non-conformances
Support inspection efforts on the shopfloor
Log inspection and testing data and help analyse data to spot trends
Participate in conducting internal audits according to ISO 9001 requirements
Monitor supplier performance and work with suppliers to resolve raw material quality issues/concessions
Lead a team of 4 inspectors
Work with Production Managers, Team Leaders and Supervisors to ensure the suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of proposed actions relating to investigations, concerns and internal defects
Actively support the companys plans to promote a culture of a proactive and preventive quality improvement
Help raise awareness amongst all employees of importance of quality tools and improvement methods and ensure that they are consistently applied and implemented across the business
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Educated to a degree level in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering subject
Be internal auditor trained
Should have previous experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in automotive assembly line) accredited to ISO9001
Must have knowledge and experience in using the basic quality engineering tools (Pareto Analysis, Ishikawa fishbone diagram, 5 Whys, CAPA, 8D methodology)
Must have previous experience with process risk management using Process Failure Model Effect Analysis (PFMEA)
Able to work within a cross-functional team to conduct investigations
Must understand the basic statistical analysis methods (e.g. ANOVA, correlation and regression analysis, significance, data interpretation, histogram, etc.)
Can use MS Excel for data analysis
Can use testing equipment such as verniers, micrometres, depth micrometres, gauges, etc.
Best if understand and have experience in lean manufacturing principles, waste reduction methods, 2D & 3D engineering drawings, and Statistical Process Capability (SPC)
Having Six Sigma green belt certificate is advantageous
