About the Role

At Geomiq, we are seeking a motivated and dedicated Quality Manager to become an integral part of our growing Production Team. As a Quality Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our manufactured parts we receive from our suppliers meet our clients and customer needs and requirements. Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management:

  • Developing Quality Standards Policies and Procedures: Enhance and implement ISO quality standards and procedures aligned with our ISO9001 and ISO13485 requirements. Maintain quality assurance systems to ensure compliance.
  • Strategic Quality Planning: Formulate quality objectives, metrics, and goals. Lead initiatives that support company’s quality objectives. Develop and oversee key quality metrics and systems for analysis and reporting. Ensure these systems facilitate clear communications and prompt corrective actions.
  • Lead Quality Performance: Lead a team of Quality Control (QC) personnel in their daily responsibilities to ensure the execution of product quality control tasks effectively and efficiently to company standards.
  • Continuous Quality Improvement: Spearhead initiatives to continuously improve quality using innovative tools and data. Provide guidance and training to the team on best practices in quality control. Lead cross-functional teams in workshops and optimization efforts to reduce Non-Conformity Reports (NCR) enhancing overall quality and efficiency.

Fulfilment Operations:

  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to ensure they are optimised for operational demand.
  • Order Processing: Lead the order fulfilment process from order delivery to dispatch, ensuring all customer requirements are met and orders are processed efficiently.
  • Logistics Coordination: Manage and optimise logistics and delivery schedules to ensure timely dispatch of goods.

Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Performance Reporting: Generate and present detailed reports on quality metrics, fulfilment KPIs, and team performance. Utilise data analysis to drive strategic decisions and operational improvements.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks in quality and fulfilment processes.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and support a team of quality and fulfilment personnel. Organise training and development initiatives to boost team skills and performance.
  • International Oversight: Travel internationally (Portugal) to manage and oversee quality teams abroad, ensuring consistent quality output.

What Are We Looking For?

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field is a must
  • 5 years of experience working as a Quality Manager, demonstrating expertise in quality control, supplier management and Logistics
  • Proven experience in documenting FAIR inspections or similar
  • Understanding of PPAP process
  • Experience leading and managing a team
  • A strong interest and passion for engineering and the technology sector
  • The ability to thrive in an early-stage start-up environment, showcasing adaptability and resourcefulness
  • Strong independent work ethic with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results
  • Exceptional multitasking skills, capable of effectively managing and prioritising multiple projects
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
