Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our team for a Quality Manager, experienced in the healthcare sector to lead our Quality efforts in the successful delivery and management of our Quality Management System and accreditations.


The Fleet Street Clinic is a long established, independent multidisciplinary clinic offering a range of private medical and healthcare services to individual patients and corporate clients.


Reporting to the Clinic Manager, the successful candidate would be responsible for ensuring that our services meet or exceed the established quality standards, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain quality control processes, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous quality enhancement initiatives.


This full-time and clinic-based role will be Monday to Friday 9.00 - 5.30pm (with some extended hours on occasion).


Main duties & responsibilities:


  • To be responsible for overseeing the clinic’s Quality Management System and associated documentation.
  • To identify areas and projects where there is the potential to improve service quality and drive continuous improvement
  • To participate in MMR meetings, (to chair & take minutes)
  • To collate the required data and information periodically for quality review.
  • Identify trends from complaints and non-conformities and formulate actions to address these
  • Act as principal liaison between Fleet Street Clinic and the clinic’s regulatory and accreditation bodies
  • Supervise a programme of internal quality audits to ensuring timely completion as stated in the audit programmes.
  • Verify any identified nonconformities raised during internal and external assessments ensuring these have been rectified and corrective actions have been completed on scheduled timescales
  • Maintain a system to ensure remedial, corrective, and preventative actions are taken and outcomes are recorded following the identification of non-conformities.
  • To maintain the Quality Manual, the clinic’s document control system and HR information system
  • To review documents and policies and act as authoriser, while taking note of the Clinic’s goal of reducing excessive documentation and simplifying processes where possible.
  • Ensure the effective use of Fleet Street Clinic’s HR Information system by all staff
  • To monitor and support Fleet Street Clinic’s progress towards achieving their Quality Objectives & the Laboratory’s Quality Performance Indicators and other key performance indicators.
  • To participate in the multidisciplinary PoCT management group and ensure the laboratory services shall plan, implement the monitoring, measurement, analysis, measuring of PoCT services.
  • To act as training lead – monitor staff participation in the clinic’s mandatory training programme, to monitor staff competencies and assist with identifying other CPD/further education needs. Develop, source, and implement new training if required. Periodically review all mandatory training to ensure it is streamlined and role-appropriate.


Required

  • Must have significant and demonstrable knowledge and experience of ISO 9001, SEQOHS, ISO 15189, ISO 27001 and/or CQC Key Lines of enquiry.
  • Must have experience in a Quality Management/ Lead Management role
  • Must have excellent communication and presentation skills with analysis and organisation ability
  • Must have good written and verbal skills

 

Desirable

  • BA (Hons) / BSc (Hons) in relevant subject
  • Experience of MHRA. clinical governance and risk management is ideal
  • Experience of Quality Management in a healthcare of laboratory setting (ideally a multi-disciplinary practice)
  • A recognised qualification in Quality Management (either ISO 9001 or 15189) or demonstrable professional experience  


Salary - £50,000 DOE
