The role of

Quality Manager

is to oversee and perform quality records, assist with site inspections and review technical information. The role holder will provide expertise in the area of Quality, specifically to ensure the systems in place are properly executed throughout the project.

Main duties will include:
Maintain the QA records of the Project.
Prepare and assist both internal and external audits.
Assist with the Material Approvals for the project.
Manage quality control (materials and workmanship) to ensure these are fully compliant.
Ensure proposals are viable and represent good value for money.
Compile relevant reports on time and as requested.
Carry out technical inspections onsite.
Ensure site staff, workers, subcontractors and external consultants deliver effective performance.
Ensure Health & Safety and Fire Safety regulations are adhered to.
Develop inspection methods to analyse product quality.
Work together with relevant teams and departments to improve products.
Ensure non-conformances in products and processes are identified and resolved, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are properly defined and implemented.
Document results and findings after inspections are carried out and ensure any necessary legal documentation is produced.
Responsible for ensuring that the Quality team provide adequate responses to internal and external Audit/ governing bodies to maintain existing certification and continuous improvement.
Brainstorm Ideas to create solutions to problems that are identified.
Formulate strategic plans to increase productivity.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Minimum of BSc or 3rd level equivalent qualification in Engineering or a Technical discipline and
Extensive knowledge of quality systems and
5 years experienced in a similar role.

OR
Extensive knowledge of quality systems and
10 years experienced in a similar role.

AND
Civil construction project experience.
Experienced in developing registers, documentation and reviewing information.
Proficient with IT software in particular the Microsoft suite; to include Excel, Outlook, Word.
Excellent verbal, oral, and written communication and negotiation skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy of work.
Good analytical ability.
Knowledge of control plans, measurement system analysis and statistical process control.
A working knowledge of UK construction standards and working practices.
Demonstrable knowledge of system engineering and control.
Knowledge of the relevant structures and civil engineering statutory procedures, with particular reference to Health and Safety.
Ability to set and work to personal deadlines and targets to meet the requirements of programmes of work.
Extensive experience of Quality Assurance.
Logical approach to problem-solving along with solid analytical skills, understanding of business processes and systems optimisation.
Comfortable interacting with all levels of management in multiple areas.
Highly skilled in prioritising and organising.
Possess the aptitude to rationally explain, explore and discuss Quality issues.
Sound knowledge & understanding of ISO9001:2015 (Quality Management System standard); ISO45001, ISO14001 and ISO50001.
Ability to ensure that the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to Quality and welfare at work and full compliance with applicable UK, EU and international regulations and legislation.
Proficient with Quality Management System Implementation and Auditing.
