Job Description

Job title: Quality Team Leader-Contract Support

Location: Warton/Samlesbury

What you'll be doing:

  • The provision of a proactive Quality Assurance support solution relating to In-Service activities including the definition and embodiment of effective Quality Planning for all our Support contracts
  • Operating as the focal point for all In-Service Customer engagements relating to the Quality of our In-Service products and services. Establishing and maintaining proactive engagements and beneficial collaborations in association with our wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Effectively managing the timely resolution of all reported Customer quality concerns through; undertaking and overseeing the investigation into all received Customer Complaints and concerns, undertaking effective Root Cause Analysis in order to understand and address associated underlying quality issues, and, overseeing the timely resolution of all identified corrective actions
  • Ensuring compliance to company, contractual and regulatory quality requirements is maintained throughout the full development lifecycle
  • Managing and delivering to schedule all internal system, process, product, service audits, provision of support to third party and certification audits, as well as, the timely resolution of all identified non-conformances

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

  • Experience of working in a customer facing environment
  • Good understanding of modern quality practices and techniques including quality management and planning
  • Strong IT Literacy
  • Proven leadership skills and experience in coaching or mentoring direct reports

Desirable

  • Knowledge of quality requirements for aerospace and defence contracts (e.g. EN9100, defence regulations and standards
  • Knowledge / experience of the Typhoon, Tornado or Hawk platform would be highly beneficial

The Contract Support Quality Team:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within BAE Systems Air, Europe & International for a Contract Support Quality Team Leader.

The role resides within the Contract Support Quality team who work in close collaboration with both our Customers and numerous national and international stakeholders in order to provide Quality Assurance expertise and support to our Hawk, Tornado and Typhoon contracts across the globe as well as the development of aircraft support equipment, data and synthetic training devices.

This position will require occasional national and international (KSA) travel in order to work collaboratively with our customers.
