Quantity Surveyor
(Civil Engineering Quantity Surveyor)
Southampton

Reed Recruitment (Southampton branch) are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyorfor one of the Country’s leading privately owned Civil Engineering, Building and Surfacing Contractors.

- Qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar area
- Experience on large construction projects with a Main Contractor
- Ideally Groundworks / Road works/ Drainage/ Bridges /Heavy civils experience
- An ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets.
- To have strong analytical skills and ability to present findings
As Quantity Surveyor
- Advise on contractual matters – general and project level
- Managing subcontract packages and overseeing payments to subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
- Look for opportunities to maximise revenue and reduce cost
- Undertaking monthly internal valuations and production of monthly cost reports
- Reporting on budgets and variations
- Negotiate and agree subcontractors
