Your newpany You will be working with a contractor that specialises in the design, supply and installation of engineered facades for remedial or new-build residential,mercial and educational buildings. They work with Main Contractors and Housing Associations, and they’remitted to the full project lifecycle – from specification to final QA – providing technical expertise at every stage to ensure superior value within defined budgets.Your new role They are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in cladding and facade projects. This is a contracting/freelance role where you’ll play a pivotal part in helping to expand themercial Department.Responsibilities:• Project Monitoring: You will have full responsibility for monitoring and working on external facade / cladding projects, Ensuring projects arepleted on time and within budget, maintaining the highest standards.•mercial Oversight: Collaborate with senior colleagues and their teams to oversee allmercial aspects of one or more projects. This includes validating tender and construction budgets, managing procurement processes, assessing subcontractor variations, and preparing contract variations and final accounts.• Client Interaction: Regularly meet with clients, third parties, and project managers to report on progress and address any issues.• Dispute Resolution: Actively manage dispute resolution and claims if they arise during the project.• Contract Expertise: Demonstrate a good understanding of Contract Law and review JCT/NEC contracts.What you'll need to succeed Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, with a strong background in cladding and facade projects.Familiarity with internal fit-out and external facade construction processes.Ability to manage and mentor junior team members.Excellent knowledge of Contract Law and experience with contract variations.Strongmunication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
