Quantity Surveyor
Civil Engineering & Utilities
Our client is a small but growing utilities contractor undertaking a range of services for major utilities providers, primarily involved in the gas sector. Projects undertaken range from the very minor works (£50k) to larger schemes up to £2m in value and this company is closely tied to a couple of the UKs biggest utility companies and has a guaranteed workload for the next 5+ years.
Due to this continued and organic growth our client is now seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the small commercial team based from their regional office in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire.
The role will report directly to the Commercial Director and will have the support of a couple of Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Applicants should have some experience within the civil engineering / utilities sector. Some knowledge of NEC contracts and reinstatement works would be a significant advantage
We think this role would suit someone with 4-6-years experience, who is perhaps working for a larger company at present in London and looking to work more locally with a smaller more flexible organisation who can offer a flexible working hours and some Working From Home opportunities
The salary on offer would depend on the level of experience and is negotiable (to a degree) but the ideal candidate would be at about the £50k - £55k mark. The company would also pay a mileage allowance, offering 31 days holiday and a 5% pension from day one
