A superb opportunity to join an expanding Civil Engineering firm in the South West! Want to be part of the success story? A project level Quantity Surveying role has arisen to join a leading Civil Engineering contractor as they look to further expand their operations across the South West having experienced a successful couple of years in the region and winning a number of new projects which are already on site and more with imminent starts in Bristol, Somerset and Devon. As an organisation, they currently operate across a range of sectors delivering Infrastructure, Highways, Industrial, Bridges, Flood Defence and Car Park schemes throughout the UK. As part of the growing South West business unit, you will take commercial responsibility for your own projects and/or packages depending on the size of scheme, working closely with the site team and reporting into a visiting Commercial Manager. Responsibilities: As a proactive and ambitious Project Quantity Surveyor, your role will be to manage the commercial functions from procurement to final account, increasing value and maximising profits. Key duties will include: Procurement Valuations Variations Payments Budget Monitoring Cost Reporting Applicants should hold a MIN HNC level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering and/or Construction, be comfortable running your own projects and are familiar with JCT and NEC forms of contract. Experience in general civil engineering including roads and infrastructure is preferred. This company has an exciting future ahead as it embarks on their expansion plans.
