Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Castleford (hybrid)
Reports to: Managing Quantity Surveyor

- Our client have been targeting growth every year, whether that be through new clients, re-engaging with old ones, new workstreams with existing clients.
- This is a new role, sitting alongside a team of other QSes.
- This QS will sit in the commercial function under the Managing Quantity Surveyor.
Role Responsibilities:
- The project manager will scope a project and the QS team will cost it up, understand the deliverables, and liaise with the operations team and the rest of the commercial function.
- The values of projects can range depending on size and scope.
- The majority of the project work will be in retail.
- You will need to learn all of the accounts and understand each client’s standards and preferences.
- You should have good reporting in CVR, good tracking from costing to finalising the job, making sure profitability remains and the costing has been done correctly.
About You:
- You will have a few years of experience with quantity surveying on good-sized retail projects.
- Having fit out experience is critical.
- You will need to be comfortable at pricing work up and speaking to subcontractors.
- Having a degree qualification, or a CIOB or RICS membership, would be a benefit, but not a must.
- This role can be performed hybrid, reporting to customer sites and to the office on an ad hoc basis.
