Our client, a well-known player in the residential sector, seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all commercial aspects of assigned projects, ensuring cost control and adherence to budget
- Lead and drive procurement tasks independently, including ordering materials, appointing subcontractors, and managing variations
- Prepare and manage monthly valuations for clients, ensuring accurate financial reporting
- Contribute to forming initial budgets and specifications
- Monitor site performance against plans, budgets, and financial targets
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams (sales, land, construction, architects) and external stakeholders
- Oversee monthly bank drawdown figures and maintain clear financial communication
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Proven track record of success in a similar role, within the residential sector
- Strong understanding of commercial aspects of construction projects, including procurement, subcontract management, and cost control
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Experience using relevant software (e.g., Eque 2 or similar land appraisal & procurement software) is a plus.
