Quantity Surveyor Job In Birmingham

A highly respected figure in the structural steel industry in the United Kingdom is actively searching for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team permanently. The typical project values range from £500k to £1.5m, and prestigious clients from across the UK are served on a variety of construction projects. It is preferred that the successful Quantity Surveyor has previous exposure to structural steel packages and possesses extensive construction experience with a recognized contractor.

Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

• Review tender to construction documents to determine entitlements upon receiving CI information.
• Submit monthly applications by contractual deadlines.
• Manage monthly payment certificates: receive, review, challenge, agree, and communicate to Accounts.
• Prepare and finalize accounts within the contract's time constraints.
• Compile monthly CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations).
• Assess and communicate the impact of variations within the contract's time constraints.
• Issue contractual notices within the specified time constraints.
• Handle final accounts within the contract's time constraints.
• Manage subcontractor accounts by issuing payment certificates and payless notices within required time frames.
• Issue sub-contract purchase orders to mitigate business risks.
  
  

Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

• 2-4 years experience as Quantity Surveyor
• In-depth knowledge of the construction industry
• Experience in placement of orders for specialist packages
