Project Details:

* Project Value: £40 million

* Project Duration: 2.5 years

Job Description:

As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of our residential construction projects. This involves ensuring that the project is completed within its projected budget, managing all financial aspects, and making sure all legal and contractual requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management:

* Administer JCT Design and Build (D&B) contracts.

* Ensure all contractual obligations are met and documented.

* Manage and oversee all contractual documentation.

Financial Management:

* Prepare and manage project budgets.

* Conduct cost analysis and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

* Manage subcontractor and supplier payments.

* Produce detailed financial reports.

Project Management:

* Monitor project progress and performance.

* Ensure compliance with project specifications and requirements.

* Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.

* Risk Management:

* Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.

* Conduct regular risk assessments and audits.

Required Skills and Experience:

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience:

* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry (in the UK).

* Proven experience with JCT Design and Build (D&B) contracts.

* Experience working on residential projects.

Technical Skills:

* Proficient in cost management software and other related tools.

* Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.

Soft Skills:

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

* Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
