Quantity Surveyor
Location: Birmingham / Hybrid with site travel.
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience plus package including:

Summary
An independent rail consultancy of 10 years' standing, with a wealth of experience and expertise across a wide variety of environments and disciplines is looking to take on a Quantity Surveyor to join their Birmingham based team,
Reporting to the Head of Commercial the Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of construction projects within the rail sector from inception to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that rail projects are delivered within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
General Duties
- Provide quantity surveying assistance to delivery teams
- Cost management, ensuring that the project remains within budget.
- Provide advice on contracts
- Liaise with architects and engineers on the cost implications and provide alternative choices of materials to allow for flexible budgets
- Prepare tendering documents
- Provide Contract Administration services.
- Be the main point of contact to clients throughout each phase.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role in the rail sector
- Rail / Civilsinfrastructure experience
- A HND/Degree qualification in quantity surveying or relevant commercial discipline
- ideally Working towards or hold membership of an appropriate recognised professional institution
