RAN Automation Developer (Senior)

£400 - £525 a day

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced RAN Automation Developer (Senior) contractor to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with SON vendors, stakeholders, and internal teams to design, develop and test new RAN Automations. The candidate will be responsible for capturing internal processes and verifying and implementing automations at Telefonica direction. Additionally, the candidate will help form business requirements for RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) - both NR and RT, deploy XAPPS and RAPPS into RIC platform and perform associated trial evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with SON vendor to design, develop and test new RAN Automations
* Work with stakeholders to perform requirements capture and potential benefits for automation UCs
* Capture internal processes and verify and implement automations at Telefonica direction
* Help form business requirements for RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) - both NR and RT
* Deploy XAPPS and RAPPS into RIC platform and perform associated trial evaluation
Key Deliverables:
* A plan developed with the SON vendor to design, develop, and test new SON automations
* A benefits map and stakeholder engagement plan for automation use cases
* A document outlining the key internal processes
* A document outlining the business requirements for RIC, the deployment and the criteria to undertake successful trial evaluations
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
* Extensive experience in RAN Automation Development, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
* In-depth knowledge of RAN automation and SON technologies, with a strong understanding of NR and RT
* Experience in capturing requirements and working with stakeholders to identify potential benefits of automation
* Experience in deploying XAPPS and RAPPS into RIC platforms and performing associated trial evaluations
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
