We are looking for an experienced Raw Materials and Procurement Manager to join our Team.


Job purpose:

Responsible for creating the right contractual relationships, which delivers ongoing competitive costs, service, innovation & sustainability priorities for the business.

To manage the purchase and timely receipt of all required raw materials and components relating to agreed sales orders. In this role you will be responsible for the effective management of the company’s stock holding in monetary terms.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and other necessary components specific to the cosmetic industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, ensuring timely deliveries, quality standards, and competitive pricing and saving opportunities.
  • Developing and delivering procurement strategies, which support business objectives.
  • Continuously seek new suppliers that are fit for purpose, to expand our network in line with our strategy and growth ambition.
  • Mitigate risks associated with single-source dependencies.
  • Develop supplier relationships for quality and service.
  • Lead the sourcing process, utilising market research, industry trends, and client requirements to identify the most suitable suppliers.
  • Collaborate with production and other teams to forecast material needs, bill of materials and maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste, manage minimise holding costs, and ensure efficient use of storage space.
  • Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to relevant regulations and compliance standards, including ethical sourcing practices.


Qualifications and Responsibilities:

  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and supply chain management within the cosmetic industry.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong supplier relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to utilise data to drive decision-making and improve processes.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management and cost optimization strategies.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the cosmetic industry.
  • Able to work in fast paced environment and manage timelines.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and team management skills.
