Job Description:
- Under general supervision, applies functional requirements and uses engineering tools to design hardware, electronic circuits or control systems for product changes or new development.
- Uses software tools or applications to analyse and conduct tests on electronic circuits or systems and document performance in comparison with design criteria.
- Identifies the testing requirement at a system level with the emphasis on complying with test standards and Halliburton's Health, Safety, and Environment procedures.
- Create test instructions, perform test and generate reports.
- Identifies the testing objectives at a component level in accordance with Halliburton's Health, Safety, and Environment procedures and evaluates test results.
- Assists in preparing component specifications, follows work processes to document designs, and assists in preparation of material for design reviews.
- Contributes to Halliburton's Intellectual Property portfolio by preparing Invention Disclosures and recognizing ideas that have Intellectual Property potential without disclosing confidential information.
- Works effectively as a team member by communicating clearly and efficiently to provide innovative solutions.
- Takes the initiative to go beyond what situations require and focuses on attention to detail by making sure that work is done correctly, completely, and to the highest standards.
Qualifications:
- Skills acquired through the completion of masters degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline or an undergraduate degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Experience:
- Analogue and Digital electronics design
- Software/Firmware design, particularly Embedded C programming on microcontrollers
- Troubleshoot and diagnose prototype and production tools
- Design of electronic test programmes
- Specification of electromechanical systems
- PCB schematic capture and layout design using Altium software or similar.
- High temperature and rugged electronics (desired)
