We have a new opportunity for a talented and motivated R&D Gearbox Test Technician to join our team. In 2026 we will become a works team and will be designing, manufacturing and developing our own gearbox and support systems. Delivering a state-of-the-art gearbox test facility will be a critical part of that journey and this role is central to that objective, testing and developing not only our prototype gearboxes but the transition to production race gearbox sign-off.

In this role you will be required to:

  • Support the sign-off of gearboxes, clutch and differentials on the dyno and associated test rigs.
  • Prepare and connect the unit on test and its support systems to the dyno for test.
  • Work to the highest standards and in accordance with the specifications, to ensure delivery, performance and reliability targets are met efficiently and on time.
  • Maintain a safe, efficient, and professional working environment at all times.
  • Collaborate with production & build to understand test and delivery schedules.
  • Follow and understand gearbox operation and work with the test engineer as required.
  • Change the physical test cell configuration to run different specifications of test.
  • Support clutch and lubrication testing assembly as required.
  • Carry out maintenance, servicing and calibration of dyno items according to company and supplier specifications.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient working environment in the dyno and other test areas.

Skills & Knowledge Required :

  • Have a good technical understanding of gearboxes, their control systems and testing techniques.
  • Good level of computer literacy with experience of dyno operation preferred.
  • Be able to work in a team of people, and alone when required.
  • Demonstrate honesty, inclusion and collaboration with fellow team members

Preference will be given to applicants who have experience in a relevant gearbox role either in motorsport or another high performance industry. However, applications for a junior position will be considered for candidates who can demonstrate workplace excellence and a high level of ambition. We are of the opinion that experience can be gained but enthusiasm and attitude are of greatest importance.
