About The Role
As the RE Lead, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development of our students. You will lead and coordinate the RE curriculum, ensuring that it is engaging, relevant, and aligned with the school's ethos and values. You will have the opportunity to shape the RE department, inspire students, and contribute to the overall success of the school.
Responsibilities
- Lead the RE department, providing visionary leadership and guidance to promote excellence in teaching and learning
- Design and deliver engaging and stimulating lessons that encourage students' critical thinking, reflection, and understanding of religious traditions and beliefs
- Collaborate with the wider school community to foster a positive ethos that celebrates diversity and promotes respect and tolerance
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support to ensure every student reaches their full potential
- Manage and maintain the department's resources, ensuring they are up to date and accessible for both staff and students
- A strong commitment to the school's mission, values, and ethos
- A deep understanding and passion for Religious Education
- Qualified Teacher Status and relevant educational degree
- Proven experience teaching Religious Education at a secondary level
- Excellent knowledge of the curriculum and current educational trends in Religious Education
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students and colleagues
