What do I need?

You will need p revious experience within a similar role handling a full case load of pre-litigated and litigated recovery matters. A knowledge or experience of Personal Injury Clams; preferably Defendant and/or previous experience working within the insurance sector. Advocacy experience is essential.

You will need to bring an enthusiastic and self-motivated attitude with a desire to achieve and exceed targets combined with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ability to demonstrate initiative and creative problem solving is desirable.

We would like to see a s trong work ethic and a committed team player. We are a close knit and stable team that like to share ideas and experience with a view to achieving the best results that we can for our Clients.

Be confident and assertive and willing to engage in public speaking.

What will you be doing ?

You will be asked to competently deal with a case load of predominantly litigated, recovery files within our case management system, as well as assisting our Head of Recoveries with reviewing evidence, drafting correspondence and court documents. Ensuring that clients are confident that their legal affairs are dealt with in a professional and competent manner, and to ensure the efficient operation of the team.

You will be asked to carry out Advocacy at procedural hearings, debates and proofs.

You will be working alongside three recognised Law Society of Scotland Specialists in Personal Injury Law whose experience includes a number of significant cases, such as appeals to the House of Lords concerning limitation in abuse cases and to the Inner House of the Court of Session regarding the applicability of workplace regulations.
