Interior Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recreation Therapist to join our dynamic Mental Health team at Tamarack Cottage in Cranbrook, BC. If you are passionate about improving the quality of life for clients through innovative recreation and leisure programs, we want to hear from you!About the Role:As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing client-centered care within the context of our established vision and values. Your responsibilities will include assessing clients' recreation and leisure needs, developing and coordinating therapeutic recreation plans, conducting one-on-one and group activities, monitoring, and evaluating client progress, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including Occupational/Rehabilitation staff and other healthcare professionals. You will also contribute to quality assurance initiatives and participate in research and education.Your work will directly benefit the health, functional status, personal development, and quality of life of our clients.
