Job Description

Our client is a global oil & gas, energy, power, renewables and life sciences recruitment agency that requires a high calibre Operations Director in Manchester (at least 3 days a week in the office).

The Operations Director is responsible for the development of the medium- and long-term strategic plans for our clients' permanent hire (retained and commitment fee) operations in the Energy, Energy Transition (Hydrogen, Net Zero, Sustainable Aviation Fuels) and Chemical Engineering markets. They will also be responsible for overseeing the implementation of these plans and for their operational deployment across the region. Performance in this role is to be achieved through effective leadership, market knowledge, commercial business acumen, flexibility, and an ability to thrive through change.

To be considered you need:

· To be able to manage a recruitment team to achieve specified financial targets by providing recruitment services to new and existing clients and generating new business opportunities and leads.

· To be personable with effective communication skills.

· Strong Business Development

· Influencing and negotiation techniques

· Strong decision-making skills

· Proven experience in strategy creation and successful deployment in the recruitment sector

· Proven experience as a main client interface

· Planning of operations and budget preparation advised

· Ideally, experience in the execution of profit and loss accounts in Europe

· Ideally, proven expertise in identifying market development and investment prospects and in the successful development of an opportunity in gross margin revenue stream

· The ability to develop delivery teams if necessary

· To be an excellent communicator with strong internal and external presentation skills (written and oral)

Must be based in Manchester and able to work from our client's office at least 3 days a week.
