About the job
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to deliver a repairs and maintenance programme to a variety of offshore and onshore oil and gas assets and wind farm substations located along the east coast of the UK.
This position would suit an engineer who is looking to make the next step in their career into a supervisory / management role as Trident IES seek to develop our footprint in the marine market and expand our operations in Great Yarmouth.
The ideal candidate will be located/ or prepared to relocate to the Great Yarmouth / Norwich area with travel around the Norfolk area and occasional trips to Aberdeen.
The Refrigeration Engineer is expected to be technically strong, have good fault-finding abilities and a desire to work in a demanding yet rewarding industry. Previous offshore experience is not essential as further training and progression will be offered to the right candidate.
A good base salary with offshore/onshore mobilisation uplift, company vehicle and tools and personal and professional development opportunities.

With over 30 years' experience in the provision of HVAC&R repair, maintenance and engineering services, we are the largest independent provider of HVAC&R services in the North sea. Our client portfolio includes major oil and gas operators and integrated service companies.
We employ over 100 staff and have a full compliment of highly experienced HVAC Consultants, design engineers, CAD Operators, Project engineers, Modular Door Technicians and support staff.
Although we primarily specialise in the Oil & Gas industry, we have also grown our contracts in the Renewable energy sector, servicing many on and offshore sub-stations across various windfarms.

I

n this role your main responsibilities will be
-

Servicing, maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning of refrigeration systems
-

Develop client relationships and workscopes with existing and new clients
-

Carry out surveys, inspections, and technical investigations
-

Maintain records and logs of work, including updating clients CMMS and F-Gas logs.
-

Submission of daily and trip reports to Project Engineers and Line Manager

Who we are looking for
-

Time served apprenticeship and/or 5 years’ experience in working with refrigeration systems
-

NVQ Level 2/3 Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Service & Maintenance)
-

City & Guilds 2079 Cat 1. F-Gas and ODS Regulations
-

IEE Wiring Regulations
-

Basic knowledge of HVAC systems
-

Commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment
-

Computer skills, good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
-

Flexible in response to possible short notice call-offs, travel to different on and offshore locations

Positive work attitude and commitment to continuous personal and professional development
