Regional Key Account Manager

The Role: Our client are looking for a Regional Key Account Manager to cover their 'Northern' region and join a team of 3 people working within the Northern team. This area goes as far North as Preston and York, as South as Knutsford and Nottingham, as East as Leeds and Manchester in the West. As a Regional Key Account Manager you will be selling a range of cable management solutions into a vast array of end users such as: panel builders, M&E Contractors, data centres, power companies, mining, agriculture, rail, automotive etc. Once the demand has been generated with that end user on their project you will pull the sell back through the electrical wholesale network (Edmundson's, Rexel, CEF etc). The area has in excess of 400 live wholesaler accounts, as well as plenty of potential end user and OEM target projects.

This exciting and varied Regional Key Account Manager position will see you deal with Branch Managers, Counter Staff, & Procurement on a Regional & National level. As such, you will need to have the ability to deal with many different types of decision maker.

The business has an unrivalled offering in the market and can add further value to clients by offering their training facility as part of the partnership with them in order to get the best out of their products and solutions. This role is all about identifying new end user applications and working together with your wholesale network to approach them together, or bring that business their way.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Have a B2B field sales track record selling 'solutions' to end users/OEMs
  • Understanding of the sales process with distribution partners and end users
  • Have an eagerness and willingness to learn & develop
  • Professional in approach
  • Lives on patch
  • Full & Clean Driving licence

Salary: £47,000 basic salary DOE + 15% Annual Bonus + Company Car or Car Allowance + 25 days holiday + pension scheme

Candidate Location: Manchester to Leeds
