About the Team

Workday’s enterprise applications are positively disrupting the market and transforming how businesses operate and make decisions in today’s ever changing global market. The success of Workday within Australia is rapidly growing and as a result, we’re now looking to hire a Regional Sales Director to lead our Southern Region Account Executives across the Medium Enterprise (Southern regional comprises VIC, TAS, SA & WA).

This incredible opportunity is focused on recruiting, leading, coaching and developing a team of Account Executives focused medium sized organisations across a broad range of sectors. This team will be expected to drive demand generation activities along with owning and forecasting planning net new deals that deliver genuine value and transformative outcomes for our customers.

About the Role

As the Regional Sales Director for our Southern Region (VIC, TAS, SA & WA) Team the core area of focus is supporting your team of Net New Account Executives to successfully acquire new customers.

You will demonstrate a strong ability to drive account development, pipeline generation activities and manage equitable territory distribution models where team members each have the opportunity to achieve their sales goals. In this role you will be expected to develop  and manage executive relationships by conducting business driven discussions, whilst also leading negotiation, planning, strategy and execution

  • Guide and manage activities focused on acquisition of new cutomers in ANZ Southern Region to ensure that company revenue goals and objectives are exceeded 

  • Proven ability in managing complex sales cycles from start to finish with a track record of successful revenue attainment 

  • Cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with strategic partners 

  • Manage daily and weekly activities, pipelines, forecasts and closed deals to ensure above quota results based on successful pipeline management 

  • Attract, hire, onboard and retain top sales talent

  • Work with team members individually as needed while always promoting a healthy team environment 

  • Partner and oversee multi-functional extended sales team (presales/value/services/deal desk/legal etc) as needed to achieve and maximize success)

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • Sales experience selling cloud solutions where the sale is complex, transformation and value focused

  • You are currently in a sales management role

Other Qualifications
  • You have an outstanding track record of success. We’re going to want to know your quota attainment numbers as past success is a strong indicator of future success

  • Articulate Workday’s impact on business value to C-Level executives and build relationships that drive deals to a successful conclusion.

  • Build Go To Market Strategy for this line of business

  • You live by a set of values that align with our own (make sure you look them up). We’re a value based organisation, and we truly believe that exceptionally successful sales professionals can also be phenomenal humans.

  • ERP/ HCM/ Finance/ Planning experience is ideal.

  • An understanding of the fundamental differences and benefits of an on-demand/Cloud/SaaS architecture as an alternative to legacy ERP solutions.

  • Experience leading a team through sophisticated, strategic, sales cycles by orchestrating internal teams of pre-sales, value management, bid management, inside sales, marketing and sales support.
