Job Description

Registered Nurse for Immediate Start Day and Night shifts Available.
Days £20.25 - £20.75 p/h
Nights £21.25 - £21.75 p/h
The Position
Ensure at all times the highest standard of clinical care is delivered to the residents in the home whilst working within the defined company policies and procedures and the NMC Code of Conduct at all times.
Work with the management team and other trained nurses in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating quality nursing care
Ensure that all residents are safe from harm and that any possible/potential or actual concerns regarding any form of abuse are reported immediately to the Home Manager, Deputy Manager and local safeguarding team.
Responsibilities:
To ensure that the residents are provided with the highest possible standards of nursing care, this under the direction of a GP or other Health Professionals, to include end of life care.
Create clear and effective lines of communication and working relationships within the Home and with families, other professionals and agencies involved in the care of the residents, to ensure appropriate care plans and other documents are devised to cater for their individual emotional, spiritual, physical, and material needs.
To manage and supervise the provision of nurse-led care services within the nursing unit including liaising with GPs, Pharmacists, and other Health Professionals regarding health care needs. Report any ill health amongst residents and make requests for GP/Professional visits where necessary.
To order and administer prescribed medicines for which the Home has taken responsibility and maintain the necessary associated records as per NMC guidance and Company procedure.
To update and keep individual care plans under continuing review.
To ensure all staff members contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the nursing unit and to the creation of an atmosphere conductive to the best interests of the residents.
To assist in and supervise the effective induction, supervision, and assessment of staff and to ensure staff training needs are identified and met.
Report immediately to the Senior RGN, Deputy Manager or Home Manager any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a resident, colleague, self or another.
Essential:
Active NMC Registration (PIN Number)
Previous supervisory experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Evidence of recent clinical practice
Evidence of management and administration of medication competency
Knowledge of NMC Code of conduct and standards
Awareness of the principles of Person-Centred Care
Understanding of caring for residents with who live with Dementia.
End of Life Care knowledge and care giving
A flexible approach to working hours.
Desired:
Minimum of 2 years experience post qualification in a residential/nursing or NHS care setting
Awareness of Fundamental Standards
