The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team here at The Alder Veterinary Practice, Bourne.
We are a relatively small but busy first opinion practice, with a wide range of experience within the team. Our nurses must be able to multitask and meet the challenges of the day. One day could be theatre, the next could be nurse consults.
Ideally, we are looking for 30 hours a week but can be flexible. These shifts can either be 3 days at 10 hours or 5 days 8.5 hr shifts ranging from 8am until 7pm. Our nursing team share the Saturday morning rota 1 in 5 with no out of hours and no bank holiday work.
Salary for this role is up to £29,000 pro rata depending on experience + Welcome bonus up to £2000.
About Us
We have two very well-established surgeries in the Lincolnshire market towns of Spalding and Bourne, both of which have a loyal client base of well over 20 years. We are situated close to the historic town of Stamford where you can visit Burghley House, Burghley Horse Trials, or Rutland Water, and Peterborough is approximately half an hour away with direct train lines into London.
Both practices are equipped with digital radiography, ultrasounds endoscope, and in-house blood testing equipment. We also have good-sized theatres and consult rooms for our varied first opinion cases. Our Spalding branch has very recently been refurbished to a high spec finish and our Bourne branch is next on the list!
About the Team and Culture
Our friendly team comprises of 4 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Nurses ,3 Nursing Assistants, and a full team of Receptionists. None of us could do our jobs properly without each other! We are a very encouraging team who are always willing to step in and work together in times of need and we work hard to provide the highest standards in client and animal care. Our team of Vets and Nurses will always talk through all options of care with our clients to ensure they are making the most informed choices, and we work closely with various referral practices to be able to offer that option if required.
Applicant Requirements
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse who has confidence in their abilities. You will be working alongside a Head Nurse, 3 RVN's, experienced Vets and friendly Reception/support staff. We are looking for someone with good communication skills and a genuine passion for their job as this shines through.
