The Role
South Devon Veterinary Hospital and Referrals have a dedicated team of night nurses who provide our out-of-hours inpatient care for the patients within our local group or practices. We are looking to recruit experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses to join this dedicated and specialised team for the following shifts;
- Saturday & Sunday Night every other weekend (2 x 16 hour shifts 16:00 – 08:00)
- Saturday & Sunday days (07:30 – 16:30)

About Us
If you’re not from these parts, we have 2 practices within our group, both based in the Newton Abbot area of South Devon. We sit right between the spectacular Tors of Dartmoor and the un-rivalled South Devon Coastline with its fabulous beaches just a short hop away.
Kingsteignton Veterinary Practice is a friendly, well-established small animal practice in the heart of the community. South Devon Veterinary Hospital and Referrals is located on the edge of the picturesque village of Abbotskerswell in the old village cider works.
We love our work environment and both practices have great facilities including in-house haematology and biochemistry, a medical standard fan beam CT Scanner, ultrasound suit, flexible endoscope, tonometer, digital X-ray and digital dental x-ray.
Our referral hospital runs a Diplomat led Ophthalmology service as well as undertaking Orthopaedic Referrals, Out Patient CT’s and Laparoscopic bitch spays.

Applicant Requirements
We are looking to employ a confident, motivated and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team. This is a bespoke role created specifically to care for our in-Patients. Both the night and weekend nurses are supported by our on-call vets, who stay on site until the inpatients are stable, and their overnight care plans are in place.
