The Role
New Street Vets are looking for a dynamic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their Honiton practice! This role is perfect for a first opinion nurse who is looking to join a supportive team and can carry out a mix of consults and operating. The successful candidate will get to provide a service to our well-established and friendly client base.
We are able to offer both full/part-time for the right candidate however this is negotiable, ideally working up to 40 hours per week between 8 am – 7 pm. You will work 1:4 Saturday mornings 8.30 am-1 pm and one night on call per week - no on-call at weekends. No emergency out of hours.
The salary for this role is up to £24,000 depending on experience plus a £500 welcome bonus.
About Us
New Street Vets are a small, friendly, first opinion practice based in the beautiful East Devon, close to the sea and countryside. The practice has recently been refurbished with digital x-ray and dental x-ray equipment to help us provide the highest RCVS practice standards. We are a nurse training practice and all of our registered veterinary nurses who started as a student have stayed with us! We also strongly encourage our staff to work towards a certificate in their interest.
Our fantastic team is made up of 3 FTE Veterinary Surgeons, 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 1 student RVN as well as 4 support staff.
We do a lot of work for local charities including the Cats Protection and Greyhound Rescue. We support the local rugby team and are often asked to judge at local dog shows.
Applicant Requirements
We are looking for a recently qualified registered veterinary nurse or a 2nd-year student.
We have 2 experienced clinical coaches who both trained with us and now share the role of Head Nurse, and have a very supportive, experienced team of Vets giving you the chance to learn from the best!
