The Role
Our Sale practice is currently experiencing an exciting period of growth and development, and as result we have a fantastic new opportunity available for a confident and proactive RVN to join our team. The Sale practice is a relatively new practice and would provide interesting opportunities for any RVN who could help us to shape and grow the practice.
The position will be a full-time role with a share of Saturday mornings (37.5 hours per week), part time applications will also be accepted. Sale is a flexible working practice, as our teams work-life balance and wellbeing is always top priority at White Cross Vets, so if this is of interest and you want to work with a practice that had just won the coveted White Cross Practice of the Year Award, we’d love to discuss the specifics further with you.
Salary for the role is up to £29,000 FTE depending on experience.
About Us
Sale is a new, purpose-built practice with great facilities including 4 consult rooms, cat ward, dog ward, isolation ward, operating theatre, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, and brand-new laparoscopic equipment. We are also a training practice and so would encourage anyone who has a desire to become a clinical coach.
Our experienced team includes a Clinic Director, two further experienced veterinary surgeons and a new graduate Vet. We have a Practice Manager, a Head Nurse, 2 x RVN’s 1 SVN, 1 VCA and 2 client care co-ordinators. We have achieved the IVC Evidensia patient safety award, we are an ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic and one of our nursing team has a keen interest in behaviour and has undergone further training, so we are keen to develop this service at clinic level.
As this is a growing team there are chances for career progression, if you have a keen interest in consulting you could take charge of this service, make it your own and help to develop a range of nursing clinics. If anaesthesia and pain relief is more of an interest, we would fully support further development in this area. One of our vets is qualified in acupuncture and would be happy to help develop a pain clinic.
About the Team and Culture
The team at Sale are extremely hard-working team but we also love to have a laugh whilst we work. We have regular funded team days out doing activities such as escape rooms, kayaking, Axe throwing and crazy golf to name just a few! We are a clinically progressive practice, so our ideal candidate would be an RVN who wants to provide a high-quality service to the pets under their care but is also a team player that would love to get involved in our organised activities outside of work. We hold monthly team meetings and encourage input from all team members, we take into consideration any suggestions that are put forward.
We have many stand out benefits available to us, for example it’s great that we get our birthday off every year and that we get up to 3 of our own pets on the Complete Wellness Plan for free, not to mention the fantastic, maternity and paternity leave. Did we mention work life balance is top of our agenda? We also hold monthly wellbeing afternoons where we have watched movies, payed a Mario cart tournament, had a yoga session, a baby shower and played various board and card games.
