The Role
We have a rare opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and hardworking team . You will be working up to 38.5 hours per week on a rota basis and we are happy to consider full or part time applications, as well as flexible working options. Our opening hours are 08:30 - 18:30 Monday to Friday and 08:30 - 13:00 on Saturdays. We have an out of hours provider, so our team only undertakes emergency on call work for closing hours between 8am and 7pm. Our vets and nurse do work overnight/weekends to care for any in patients.
The role includes all aspects of first opinion veterinary nursing; from assisting reception to managing anaesthetics and everything in between. Our RVNs are encouraged to offer input on cases, and to pursue training and development in their areas of interest. Above all we have a focus on delivering gold-standard care to our clients and patients, whilst also prioritising a collaborative approach to clinical practice.
Salary
The salary for this role is up to £27,910.00 per annum (pro-rata) depending on experience.
About Us
Deane Vets are a modern small animal veterinary practice based in Taunton, Somerset, with a small branch in Wiveliscombe. Taunton is a picturesque town with easy access to beautiful countryside and major travel routes alike.
On site we have a good range of modern equipment including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, and an in-house lab.
About the Team and Culture
At full staff levels we are a 6 vet, 5 RVN, and 15 support staff. We are also a veterinary nurse training practice and regularly host EMS students; as such, we work hard to ensure a supportive and welcoming environment with lots of opportunities to learn and grow. Our Head Nurse is a certificate holder in Anaesthesia, and we actively encourage CPD and development in each individual's areas of interest.
Applicant Requirements
The successful candidate will be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with practice experience. Familiarity with Merlin PMS is an advantage.
