Renewable Energy Project Engineer - London - Power/Electronic Engineer

A Renewable Energy Developer in London is seeking an Electrical and Electronics or Power Engineering Graduate to join the growing team. The company develops large-scale solar and wind farms in the UK and Europe.

As a Project Engineer, you will proactively support the company’s renewable wind, storage and solar business development in the UK, focusing on the team targets.

The candidate should have a Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering with 1-2 years of experience in a similar role. We wish you to have an understanding of the key principles of electricity transmission/distribution.

Knowledge of tendering activities, preparing RfPs, and working with OEMs and EPC contracts is required. You should also have knowledge of PV/BESS/Wind system design considerations, its EPC requirements, conducting SRA/WRA/EPA/EYA simulations using the standard market software’s. Additionally, some knowledge in working with TA’s on TDD is beneficial.

An in-depth knowledge of electrical design and operations in T&D and RES is necessary. We wish you to embrace with enthusiasm and curiosity the knowledge from other renewable energy experts across the company and beyond.

  1. Liaising with stakeholders for the UK wind, storage, and Solar pipeline;
  2. Liaising with sub-contractor activities and deliverables;
  3. Communication with relevant stakeholders (DNO, TSO, and internal teams);
  4. Make sure deliverables are correctly developed and dispatched;
  5. Review timetables and deadlines with administrative and management teams.

About Your Skillset

We are looking for relevant understanding in the following areas:

  • Software – Autocad, Office suite, other electrical-specific software expertise is appreciated.
  • Management – Basic Project Management skills.
  • Grid transmission principles - Understanding of the key principles of electricity transmission and distribution through utility-scale infrastructure.
