What will you do?

As a reporter in the technology and telecoms brand you will produce editorial content focused on developments in telecoms, tech and global connectivity for both the print magazine, emPOWERED magazine, capacitymedia.com and related social networking sites.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Expand Capacity’s coverage of the wider connectivity sector, identifying the most important industry news, themes and trends.
• Write accurate, timely and informed coverage across a range of styles, from long-form feature articles to breaking news, analysis, interviews and features.
• Cultivate a range of deep relationships with key players in the sector to establish unrivalled access and insight into telecoms market.
• Proactively pitch story ideas across all editorial sections. Participate in regular editorial meetings providing insight and collaboration with the rest of the editorial team across all coverage areas.
• Contribute to the various annual online and print products produced around Capacity events and as standalone offerings.
• Proactively engage with the market and the magazine’s readership across social media platforms to drive engagement with editorial coverage.
• Represent the magazine at industry events to provide coverage, build contacts and to enhance Capacity’s longstanding reputation.
• Create content specifically for our community, in line with our digital strategy
• Monitoring community performance and present findings, with suggestions for improvements at our weekly team meetings.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Degree in journalism
• A minimum of 1 year experience in a reporting role
