(Pro-rata if Part-time)Hours: Full-timeContract Type: Permanent As one of the academic colleges within the university, the (CHMLS) contributes significantly to the University’s and to the UK’s teaching and research agenda for health and health-related studies whilst also delivering excellent research and research-led educational programmes across fields including Sports, Health and Exercise Sciences, Nursing, Biosciences, Psychology, Social Work and Occupational Therapy.We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, organised, proactive individual to the new post of Research Quality and Support Officer within our College Research Office. The team focuses on providing efficient and effective support and guidance to academic colleagues, researchers and students in line with University processes, enabling and fostering a research-active culture and ethos across the College.The successful candidate will be responsible for: Developing and implementing processes to facilitate the assessment of research conducted across the College and its associated outputs and impact, supporting high quality submissions to the next Research Excellence FrameworkApplying all aspects of the research ethics policy and other governance and compliance guidelines in the operation of the University Research Ethics application and review process We are looking for candidates who can successfully demonstrate: A broad understanding of the research environment and research assessment A track record of providing excellent support in a similar role or with transferable experience A commitment to providing high quality, accessible and timely support to research active staff at all levels of seniority, to students and to other stakeholders Excellent planning, organisation and team-working skills with the ability to work under pressure using initiative and judgement The ability to develop acumen in specific areas and take primary responsibility for their successful administration Excellent communication skills, with the ability to converse on complex subjects across a range of stakeholders Excellent IT and technical skills across a broad range of packages We offer a generous annual leave package plus discretionary University closure days, excellent training and development opportunities as well as a great occupational pension scheme and a range of health-related support.
