Job Title: Residential Property Paralegal

Salary: to £50,000 depending on experience

Leading property investment company are looking for a residential conveyancing paralegal to join their in-house team of lawyers to oversee and coordinate the conveyancing needs of the business. The team are looking for an experienced paralegal, who is able to use their initiative to progress conveyancing transactions and take responsibility for certain key elements.

Duties will include:

  • Dealing with buyer and seller queries via email or telephone
  • Validation and query of completion statements at purchase
  • Being able to progress sale files and deal with enquiries and replies subject to oversight and supervision
  • General administration including handling correspondence, scanning and diary management
  • Preparation of Stamp Duty Land Tax Form and Land Transaction Tax Forms for both freehold and leasehold
  • Liaising with Freeholder and Management Company in relation to leaseholder packs and dealing with Notices post completion
  • Assisting with secured lending work, including the sending of all initial documentation
  • Assisting with exchanges and completions in respect of residential matters
  • Liaising with estate agents and general telephone queries for residential matters

This is a new role for the company, and they are happy to look at paralegals with different levels of experience however it is essential that you have experience dealing with volume conveyancing transactions ideally working on residential transactions of a corporate nature i.e. portfolios for a fund / business to business transactions / working with a major property developer etc.

You must have proven work experience and knowledge of the conveyancing processes from initial instruction to post completion from either another in-house environment or law firm, have excellent attention to detail and be highly organised and reliable.
