Track Record Global (TRG) are experts in natural material supply chain assessments, verifying that the legislation in place to protect consumers and the environment is adhered to as well as ensuring that the environmental claims made by our clients are traceable.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR


TRG is looking for an Assistant Manager to join our Responsible Sourcing team, who will be responsible for line management of a group of RS assessors, with a strong focus on new assessor training and onboarding. This person will ensure supply chain assessments carried out by the team adhere to TRG agreed standards and SLAs, delivering to client contractual agreements.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

 

Key responsibilities for this role include:


  • Supporting in the recruitment of new assessors as and when needed
  • Leading the training for new assessors to bring them to the stage of majority independent assessments on designated assessment types
  • Conducting regular and effective 1-2-1s and appraisals in line with TRG guidelines
  • Managing and working to agreed SLAs and take corrective action if not being met
  • Working with the Assessment Manager, other Assistant Manager and Technical Knowledge Manager to establish, develop and maintain work processes and to identify opportunities for process improvement and productivity gain while meeting required assessment protocols
  • Ensuring direct assessor support for suppliers in the case of assessment-specific queries
  • Providing assessment expertise in occasional client meetings as required

 

ABOUT YOU

 

Due to the nature of the role, experience in sustainability (in direct relation to supply chains - material specific ideally) in a line management position is a requirement.


This person also needs to:


  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to understand lengthy complex documents
  • Work well under pressure, meeting the required deadlines
  • Have excellent time management skills, with the ability to pivot between own workload, line management and new starter training
  • Have a solutions mindset to dealing with problems
  • Understand the broader commercial impact to our clients, suppliers and competitors  
  • Be able to keep up to date on the latest legislative changes to the industry
