Job Title: Group Reservations Manager

Position Type: Full-Time

Location: Spitalfields Market

Job Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Restaurant Reservations/Booking Manager. The primary focus of this role is to efficiently manage all bookings via email and phone, drive additional bookings through local business and office partnerships, and oversee the optimization of our booking system. The successful candidate will also be eligible for a performance-based bonus scheme.

 Key Responsibilities:

1. Booking Management:

   - Handle all incoming reservations via phone, email, and online platforms.

   - Maintain an organized and up-to-date reservation system.

   - Confirm, modify, or cancel reservations as needed.

2. Business Development:

   - Establish and nurture relationships with local businesses and offices to generate additional bookings.

   - Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotions or special events to attract more reservations.

   - Actively seek opportunities to increase corporate bookings and group reservations.

3. Booking Optimization:

   - Analyse reservation data to identify trends, peak times, and opportunities for optimization.

   - Implement strategies to maximize seating capacity during peak hours.

   - Work with the kitchen and floor staff to ensure efficient use of resources based on reservation patterns.

4. Customer Service:

   - Provide excellent customer service during the reservation process.

   - Address customer inquiries, special requests, and concerns related to reservations.

   - Ensure a positive and seamless experience for guests from reservation to dining.

5. Staff Coordination:

   - Collaborate with restaurant staff, including host/hostess teams, servers, and kitchen staff, to manage reservations effectively.

   - Communicate special requests and guest preferences to the appropriate teams.

6. Reporting and Analysis:

   - Generate reports on reservation trends, covers, and revenue.

   - Provide insights and recommendations for improvement based on data analysis.

7. Event Support:

   - Assist in planning and coordinating large events, ensuring seamless execution and guest satisfaction.

   - Be available for evening and weekend work to handle event-related reservations.

8. Budget and Revenue Management:

    - Contribute to the development of revenue targets and assist in meeting financial goals & helping the marketing team achieve marketing budgets.

9. Communication:

    - Maintain open communication with other departments, such as marketing, operations, and finance, to align reservation strategies with overall business objectives.

 Flexible Schedule:

   - Work standard Monday-Friday 9 am to 5 pm shifts.

   - Be available for evening and weekend work to assist with large events and peak periods.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in a reservations or booking management role within the hospitality industry.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

- Familiarity with Sevenrooms or Opentable booking system.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Business development and sales experience is a plus.

Salary:

£36,500 in Year 1

£38,500 in Year 2

Bonus Scheme: Eligible for a bonus based on 'per covers/bookings,' estimated to be around 15% of the annual salary.
