If you are looking for the next step in your career this role would be ideal for an Assistant Manager who is looking for their first management role or an existing Restaurant Manager looking for their next opportunity in a one rosette restaurant.
As Restaurant Manager you will be enthusiastic, willing to learn and open to a new challenge to take responsibility for the FYR Grill Restaurant. The one rosette restaurant has an eye-catching decor with high wooden beams and large windows for an open plan feel and at its heart an open fire grill as the centrepiece.
You’ll have a great eye for detail and understand the importance of both making people feel at ease…through our real hospitality and the importance of training to empower team members to deliver an authentic and genuine experience to all our guests. Along with responsibility for the restaurant’s business performance, quality, standards and health and safety.
Your day to day will include:
Leading the team in creating an authentic and genuine experience for our guests and team members alike.
Relentless focus on standards – small details big difference
Managing and developing the skills of your team to be the best they can be so that through their skill, commitment and passion for doing what they do best.
Know your product and systems inside out, taking responsibility for stock ordering and control, rotas, payroll.
Be creative and share ideas with the wider food drink team by maintaining your knowledge of industry trends.

Who are we looking for?
A hands-on professional with a natural ability to motivate, train and inspire a team.
You will need to be proactive and ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day restaurant operations.
You will thrive in this role if you’re an outgoing person with a real passion for your craft.
You’ll need to create a fun and rewarding environment for your team and lead by example.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
Someone with previous experience of working within a busy, food-led operation with exposure to supervisory or management duties.
Wine knowledge is advantageous with a passion for food and a genuine desire for sharing this and providing excellent service to our guests.

North Lakes Hotel Spa is ideally placed at the gateway to the Lake District National Park, near Penrith, so as you might expect it welcomes guests from around the world. It is a four-star property that has developed a strong reputation among leisure and business guests and with 84 guest rooms, 11 meeting rooms, restaurant, bar and spa it's a busy place to work. It is also home to FYR, the only restaurant in Cumbria where meat is cooked over an open fire grill. North Lakes Hotel Spa is walkable from Penrith, so has easy access to transport links, as well as the motorway.
