Role Description
As a Retail PLM Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in helping our retail customer implement a roadmap of solutions leveraging PLM and bespoke solutions in the areas of product design, development, sourcing, and sustainability. You will have access to cutting-edge technology and the opportunity to make a significant impact on the customer’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of existing processes and systems as a foundation for future solutions.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to shape the landscape and solutions that meet strategic objectives.
- Gather business requirements through interviews, workshops, documentation reviews, business analysis, and process evaluations.
- Challenge business units on their assumptions to deliver solutions for their current and future needs.
- Evaluate information from multiple sources to determine true business requirements, ensuring proposed solutions reconcile all business inputs.
- Compile requirements into comprehensive documents using templates, diagrams, process flows, and scenarios.
- Validate solutions to ensure they meet defined requirements, providing feedback on gaps and suggesting changes as needed.
- Collaborate with team members across different work streams to ensure alignment and end-to-end process functionality.
Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience
- Minimum of 3 years as a Retail PLM Business Analyst or Retail PLM Functional Consultant.
- Functional knowledge of FlexPLM or other retail PLM solutions.
- Experience with retail product development and product lifecycle management processes.
- Advantageous: Experience with sustainability processes in product development (e.g., Digital Passport, Higgs Index).
- Experience working in an agile environment and methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret customer needs and translate them into application requirements.
- Ability to work alongside business SMEs, business and IT stakeholders, and vendors.
