RF Systems Engineer and Design Lead (Hybrid Working)

* Position: Full time.
* Placement: Permanent.
* Hybrid working, min 2 days per week office bound. Please factor in overnight accommodation, when submitting your salary expectations).
* Location: Saffron Walden (CB10).
* Free Parking.
* 5-10 mins walk from Great Chesterford Train Station.
* Hours: 9am until 5:30pm (Monday to Friday).
* Salary: Up to 70,000 per year depending on experience.
Our client is in urgent need of a commercially experienced candidate who enjoys working on ground breaking concepts and prototype projects.
Projects relate to robotic systems, radio and autonomous drone technologies.
Ideally you will qualify with most of the following:
* BEng or preferably MEng in electronics engineering (or similar discipline).
* Minimum 3+ years post-graduate experience in designing, building and testing RF-based circuits (e.g. for radios and/or radars).
* Good microwave, RF, analogue and digital circuit design and simulation skills. Whilst not.
* essential, experience of mm-wave frequency design would be advantageous.
* Some radio and/or radar systems knowledge is essential.
* PA / LNA / Filter and frequency synthesiser design.
* Antenna design.
You will have a background in the design of RF electronics at circuit level and experience in the design of radio transceivers.
The work will require an in-depth understanding of the fundamentals underlying the real-world engineering of systems that have a basis in radio. Experience in the definition and engineering of new radio communications and/or radar systems is essential.
You will also have prototype system block diagrams and module specifications experience.
