Risk & Controls Governance Assistant Manager, SOX, ISQM1, ACA, ICAS, Mainly Remote Risk & Controls Governance Assistant Manager required to work for a Professional Services business based in Central London. However, due to Covid-19, this will mainly be remote. We need someone in the Risk, Controls & Governance space who has a background in the likes of ISQM1 or SOX compliance. This role will require some leadership skills, along with you being either qualified (ACA or ICAS) or part qualified. Read on for more details Key responsibilities: Manage key relationships and controls related workload for a range of components Assisting subject matter experts in identifying and assessing their Quality risks Documenting existing responses and performing Walkthroughs Assessing the design and implementation of responses Identification of gaps in current processes Working with subject matter experts to propose responses to address gaps Establish and maintain comprehensive Risk, Response and Action Matrices Testing of controls Experience required: Professional qualification ACA/ICAS or equivalent Significant understanding of controls and their application in the workplace including design, sufficiency, operating effectiveness, deficiencies and recommendations. SOX experience desirable Ability to proactively apply your skills to a broad range of components to see the macro position Knowledge and understanding of ISQM 1 desirable Ability to coach, develop and manage people as well as work independently Significant experience of simultaneously driving multiple work streams to a successful outcome Strong networking skills and ability to develop strong rapports with key stakeholders Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal A sound knowledge and practical experience of IT General Controls (ITGC) is preferable This is a great opportunity and salary is dependent upon experience.
