Position Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Safety Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in construction safety, with a significant advantage for those with a background in structural steel. This role will be based out of our Uxbridge office, with regular site visits across the region. The Safety Advisor will be responsible for ensuring all safety protocols are strictly adhered to, promoting a culture of safety, and minimizing risks on our construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and industry standards.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Provide safety training and support to site personnel, ensuring they are aware of and comply with safety standards.
Investigate and report on any accidents, incidents, or near-misses, and recommend preventive measures.
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
Collaborate with project managers, site managers, and other stakeholders to promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in a safety advisor role within the construction industry.
Significant advantage for candidates with experience in structural steel projects.
Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in construction.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
