📍 Location: Sheffield

Hybrid role: 70% office / 30% Remote (TBC)

👉 Job Overview:

We are growing our UK sales team and are hiring a Business Development Representative, who will work collaboratively with the Marketing and Sales team and be responsible for generating and qualifying leads.


This is the perfect next step for someone who is successful in lead generation and wants to build a career in cybersecurity / technical sales.


The skills and experience you need to be successful:

  • 1-year successful experience in B2B sales, working towards and achieving targets such as qualified leads and / or meetings booked.
  • Results-driven - someone who's motivated to perform and gets a sense of accomplishment from bringing in new clients.
  • Strong relationship skills - you excel in communication, have a knack for understanding others, and can quickly build connections with most people.
  • Adaptability - you're open to the feedback you'll receive and the insights gained from your experiences - showing that you're committed to ongoing learning.
  • Ownership mentality - you'll take charge of your responsibilities and continuously seek ways to improve .

What you will be doing:

Your primary focus will be on identifying potential customers, initiating contact, and nurturing relationships until leads are qualified and ready to be passed on to the external sales team for further engagement.


  • In this role you will identify and qualify potential leads, initiate meaningful conversations, and set the stage for successful sales engagements.
  • Research and identify potential leads and key stakeholders through various channels, engaging with potential leads to introduce the company's products or services.
  • Gather information about the clients’ needs, pain points, and budget to determine if there's a genuine interest and potential fit.
  • Proactively build out nurture sales sequences to target a specific industry or set of target accounts; with the support of marketing and/or our leading vendors.
  • Provide information about our offerings, addressing any questions and highlighting the value propositions, whilst nurturing relationships through engaging with leads until they are sales qualified.
  • Keep detailed records of interactions and activities in our CRM (Salesforce / Hubspot), maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Pass on qualified leads to the sales team and organise high quality meetings.
  • Provide insights to marketing and sales teams based on your interactions, helping refine targeting strategies and messaging.
  • To help you succeed you will use a suite of tools including LinkedIn Navigator, Hubspot, Saleforce, Cognism, Lusha etc.
