A global leading manufacturer of complex components & solutions to the aerospace and defence sectors has a new vacancy for a Sales Director. Joining at a time of expansion and new product launch you will lead the commercial activities by developing customer relationships, identifying future business opportunities and candidates are sought with a good understanding of the aerospace sector a proven track record of maximising commercial opportunities.

Salary: £ 65,000 - £ 85,000 p.a. + excellent benefits


Commutable from: Leicester, Coventry, Derby, Nottingham, Northampton.


The Role


To develop and win global business opportunities from customers identified in the business sales and marketing plan.


To assimilate market intelligence and information concerning prospective acquisitions, customers, and competitors for use in managing the business sales and commercial strategies.


To win substantial profitable new business to achieve look ahead and budget plan.


To exploit the synergies within group channels and operating facilities.


To manage the global sales network, through structured and ambitious sales funnels to support budget growth.


To manage and continually strive to improve the skills and efficiency of the Sales function relating to both inside and outside sales.


To ensure that world class sales processes and sales tools are fully utilised to enable the business to grow, meet and exceed business targets.


To oversee & support main customer contract negotiations.


To assist with the development of market resource intelligence for the Group.


The Candidate


Candidates must have significant experience working in the aerospace sector.


Strategic thinker with track record in executing related action plans.


Customer focused approach with result`s orientated,` can do` attitude.


Commercially astute with an understanding of commercial law.


A hands-on approach.


A customer first approach with excellent negotiation skills.


Will have ideally worked in a large corporate environment.
