Job Description

This is a strategic partner management role dedicated to Capgemini’s largest technology Partner in the UKBU. 


As part of Group Strategic Initiatives and Partners, reporting into the UK Head of Partner Management, Strategic Partner Directors are responsible for the governance and direction of established partnerships and for developing incremental joint business across the full breadth of the portfolio of market offers. They manage the ongoing relationship and long-term direction of our strategic Partnerships, with responsibility for developing Partner opportunities and strategic deals, joint account planning, leadership communications, management reporting and differentiating partner programs. The role maintains strong links with Market Unit and CoE leadership and oversees the relationships between all levels of the UK business and our respective Microsoft counterparts.

The business value created from the position is sustained high growth of our Microsoft business, top-down advocacy for must-win strategic deals, recognised leadership in Azure cloud-driven transformation, differentiation in the market with exclusive strategic initiatives, alignment on portfolio strategy and a consistently strong pipeline of Microsoft technology deals.


We’ve worked with Microsoft for more than 20 years and our relationship is stronger than ever. We have thousands of Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCPs), Microsoft Azure certified architects, and Microsoft Cloud Solution architects. We are a Microsoft Azure Expert Managed Services Provider, a participant in Microsoft Azure Advisory Councils and Microsoft Cloud Preview and Early Adopter programs, and a Gold member of the Microsoft Partner Network. The Capgemini portfolio of services fully aligns with Microsoft products across all our playing fields - Enterprise Management, Customer First and Intelligent Industry, infusing cloud and data/AI with cybersecurity and sustainability solutions.

Role and responsibilities


• Be the primary advocate within Capgemini for the Microsoft technology stacks, communicating new product developments, organisational changes and industry solutions
• Be the recognised Capgemini champion across and within the regional Microsoft organisation, maximizing mindshare and ensuring the Capgemini portfolio is understood and differentiated
• Be the primary PoC for all Microsoft-related queries from the business and be fluent in the Partner program benefits, processes, and other requirements of the Partnership Agreement
• Ensure full engagement with the agreed Partner Programs, as documented in the Partner Agreements and/or Affiliations Agreements per BU.

Account Development


• Drive the Joint Account Planning motions for strategic accounts, working closely with Market Units, GBLs and CoEs, alongside the Microsoft counterparts, and across the full portfolio of Partner technologies

Strategic Deals


• Prepare and drive programs for originating and progressing joint strategic opportunities
• Contribute to must-win deals through stakeholder orchestration, securing advocacy from Microsoft leadership

Partnership governance


• BU-level QBR preparation alongside Exec Sponsors, content provision and joint hosting.
• Management reporting on Microsoft business metrics for the BU (ACR, ranking, bookings growth, strategic initiative status, funding allocations, MDF etc)
• Escalate problems as required through Exec Sponsors and appropriate Business Line leads

Marketing and GTM


• Own the sales collateral for our Microsoft business and ensure our portfolio offers in local markets align to Microsoft’s messaging vision
• Develop the Microsoft Partner Marketing strategy with the business case for associated events and campaigns, and preparing the funding requests as needed
